Countdown to the laying of the foundation stone by the summer of the new Science and Technology Park of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in San Giuliano Terme, a short distance from Pisa's central and historic headquarters, along a road axis that, from the city center, heads toward the Cisanello hospital and also already has the locations of the TeCIP (Technologies of Communication, Information, Photonics) Institute of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, the CNR, the Fondazione Monasterio, and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pisa. Wednesday, March 6th, the tender for the public-private partnership came to a conclusion with the signing of the concession contract for the executive design, entrusted to the architectural studio Lombardini 22, for the construction and 20-year operational management of the first four buildings of the new campus.

The contract was signed with the partner, the grouping of companies coordinated by Icop Spa, a Udine-based company known in the construction world. The first four buildings constructed will house the research, teaching and technology transfer activities of the Experimental Sciences (Engineering, Medicine, Agricultural Sciences and Biotechnology), and a service center with a large auditorium.
